I am a mother of 3 children, and this fact makes my car even more than a set of wheels; it is my life support. School runs, grocery store trips doctor visits, you name it, my SUV is in on it. About a month back, I began experiencing an inexplicable feeling that my steering wheel is off-centre, and my tires were producing an unusual thumping sound when I drove at some speeds. I first thought it was bad roads, then I remembered, I never changed my tires in more than four years. 

Therefore, I chose to have both tire replacement and wheel alignment together. I told him about my symptoms, and he nodded and wrote everything down on his tablet. Then he remarked, “let us examine into everything before running into any decision. No swapping I vow.” This line did make a world of difference; it indicated that they were open to transparency. 

Their intervention began with examination of my existing tires. Jason came back and informed me that not only were two tires at below tread safety levels but also, he found uneven wear, especially on the front driver side of the vehicle-a clear indication that my alignment was off. He advised me to change all four tires (which was understandable considering the age of the car and the number of miles covered) and perform a four-wheel alignment to avoid the same problem in the future. 

I was concerned about the price too, yet to my surprise, they offered more reasonable prices in comparison with chain stores I had researched on the Internet. They have even provided me with three tire choices i.e. budget, mid-range, and premium to choose my choice as per my comfort level and the driving aspects. I opted to take the mid-price and told me that it has a manufacturer’s warranty and has road hazard. 

It took more than two hours. In the meantime, I stayed in their bright waiting lounge sipping coffee and observing a parent-and-childlike dynamic between the mechanics and the staff. It is nice to work where people actually enjoy their job and work with pride.

And this is what impressed me the most: they presented me with the before and after alignment specs. The variance in measurements was actually visible to me, and it was then expounded to me how it was going to better my fuel economy and handling. As I drove away, my SUV was a totally different car. Centred, straight and smooth without consequent vibration. I did not feel unsafe. And as a mom, that is it all. 

A couple of days later, I received a follow-up text which just asked me whether I was happy with the service and whether I had any questions. Such after-service is not so common these days.
